Responsibilities
The Patrol Division is responsible for responding to calls for service throughout the City of Bowling Green. Patrol cars are dispatched and the officers handle criminal activity, crimes in progress and traffic accidents throughout the city.
Patrol Units
The patrol officers employ 12-hour shifts with an overlapping schedule, which allows for complete coverage 24 hours a day. The Patrol Division conducts preventative patrols as well as self-initiated activities, such as traffic stops, pedestrian checks, and DWI enforcement.
In addition to the Patrol Division, other units within the Patrol Division also serve the City of Bowling Green:

- School Resource Officer
- Detective Unit
